Boost for Football and Netball Across Victoria

The Victorian Government is backing country football and netball clubs as they head towards the finals with grants to replace or upgrade their home ground facilities.

Applications are now open for the 2024-25 Country Football and Netball Program.

Grants of up to $250,000 are available for rural, regional and outer metropolitan councils to apply for grants for sports infrastructure developments including netball court developments, lighting upgrades, change room overhauls, new pavilions and more, to benefit their local clubs and communities.

Successful recipients in recent years include the Hepburn Shire Council which received $250,000 for netball court and oval lighting upgrades at Daylesford Football Netball Club, and $250,000 for Hindmarsh Shire Council to upgrade Nhill and District Sporting Club’s home ground at Davis Park.

Developed in partnership with the AFL, AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria, the program has invested more than $40 million and delivered over 575 projects since 2005.

Regional Sports Assemblies, sport and recreation clubs, sporting associations and leagues, educational institutions, community organisations, disability service providers, businesses and individuals cannot directly apply to the Fund.

However, an Expression of Interest Form (for clubs) has been developed to help progress applications if LGAs wish to use this: CFNP Community Organisations Expression of Interest Form (DOCX 127.91 KB)

Local clubs and organisations are advised to contact their LGA if they wish to express interest, seek support, or be involved as a partner in applications to the fund.

Applications close on Monday 30 September 2024. For more information on the program and to apply, visit Country Football and Netball Program.
