Regional Sport Victoria Welcomes New Executive Officer
Regional Sport Victoria (RSV) is proud to announce the appointment of Ashleigh Nicolson as its new Executive Officer, following a competitive statewide recruitment process.
Ashleigh brings more than four years of leadership experience in regional sport, including roles as Interim EO at RSV and Acting EO at South West Sport. She has a strong background in health promotion, community development, and equity in sport, making her well placed to lead RSV as it embarks on its ambitious 2025-2032 Strategic Plan.
RSV Chair Carissa Harris said:
“Ashleigh is a proven leader who understands both the big picture and the realities of regional communities. She brings the right mix of continuity and fresh ideas, and we are confident she will lead RSV with vision and purpose.”
As Executive Officer, Ashleigh will oversee RSV’s advocacy for regional sport, strengthen partnerships with government and peak bodies, and support the nine Regional Sports Assemblies (RSAs) to deliver local programs and initiatives across Victoria.
Ashleigh has been at the centre of developing RSV’s new impact and evaluation framework, ensuring the organisation can demonstrate the role sport plays in improving health, wellbeing, and community connection across regional Victoria.
She will formally commence her role on October 10, 2025.
