Grants To Upgrade Victorian Community Sport Facilities
Applications are now open for the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund (RCSIF) to help local communities plan, design and build the sport facilities they need.
The four funding streams in the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund will help regional communities plan and build everything from indoor stadiums and aquatic facilities, upgrades for women and girls, community facilities, and infrastructure and planning to encourage people of all abilities to get involved.
Additional grants of up to $50,000 are also available through the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund to help boost participation for people with disability at the new or upgraded facilities.
“By upgrading facilities and removing barriers to entry, we are making sure even more people can get involved in local sport in their own communities,” said Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence. “These funds are making sure all Victorians, no matter where they live, have world class sporting facilities.”
While Regional Sports Assemblies, sport and recreation clubs, sporting associations and leagues, educational institutions, community organisations, and disability service providers cannot directly apply to the fund, they are encouraged to express interest in partnerships.
RSAs and local clubs and organisations are advised to contact their Local Government Authority if they wish to seek support or be involved as a partner in applications to the fund. The Community Organisation Expression of Interest Form has been developed to assist this process.
The fund has three funding streams including community facilities, community sports lighting, and planning.
Applications close 17 March 2025.
